Our Dignitary Dames

Founding Dignitary Dame of Leadership

Christi Michelle Weiss

My vision is of a community and network of ladies that have integrity driven by trust, honesty and respect for ourselves and one another.

I wanted to learn how to become a better woman, a mother, a lady, friend, a better self, in my journey to recovery but I could not find a place to belong.

I searched high and low to only find aging organizations like the Eagles club, The Elks Lodge or the Red Hats Society. That was all to be found after Girl Scouts for this middle aged women to locate a path to a better existence?

I joined one of the Eagles clubs in hopes to find at least some like minded people. I learned that the Eagles were in fact founded here in Seattle WA.

A group of gentlemen in downtown Seattle came together because they wanted to Be the change in their communities back in1898. the Eagles club originally was made up of those engaged in one way or another to the performing arts. The 6 founders of the Fraternity of Eagles all owned theaters.

It was when I learned these details about history that I declared I wanted a F.O.E. of my own established in the 21st century by like minded women such as these founding fathers of the Eagles.

Betty Grable was my D4D chosen mascot for a handful of motives but the least obvious is the most important reason and so I want to share with you some of my calculated choices & purpose driven life.

Betty inspired a whole generation on some major levels. She was an actress, pin-up model, dancer and singer in the 1930's and 40's. This lady was on the screen 42 times and also was the nose art for the 'Sentimental Journey'  aircraft that was in WWII, the B-17G Flying Fortress bomber.

Betty was inspiration & motivation in some of the toughest times in USA history.

In this era we  were recovering from the great depression and also had most of our country's men off  fighting for our freedom leaving the ladies to pick up the slack here on the home front.

We built airplanes, worked in the warehouses and all of the jobs needed to successfully run our country and keep her thriving. Without missing a beat, we still took care of our homes, children and our local communities. We relied on each other to get the job done and we did a damn good job too in my humble opinion.

In 1945 the WWII ended shortly after the nuclear bomb was invented. Our soldiers came home to a cozy country running as well as it did when they left it.

Our men gave us hugs and kisses and a brand new invention for a thank you gift; the microwave!

Back into the kitchen our patriarchy put us and along came the advertisements on the T.V. and radio targeting women, with intent of making them feel not good enough about themselves unless they were to buy their cigarettes, machine, pill, syrup, belt, clothes, diet, this list goes on & on.

The message of female self loathing has only grown to grotesque proportions in the 21st century.

The 21st century is our time ladies. We have been making history over the decades and the time is now for us to build our own club house, make our own sorority of sisters ready to be the leaders and the teachers of our future. It is my dream to see our community and network occupy space for women to belong to become better women.

I dream of a club house that serves healthy drinks, juices, coffee and tea, with an in house fully functioning bakery and a spa as our store front like the Eagles have with alcohol instead inside their national club houses but geared for women's feminine needs.
