We Are a Family

"I keep reading about all these beautiful moments in wake of the Orlando tragedy, but it still makes me sad, because it seems like the only time the community as a whole comes together it's always in the aftermath of tragedy. Mr. Rodgers mother told him to look for the helpers in times of sadness, but why can't we all just be helpers all the time? Why only in the midst of awful can we be wonderful? Am I too naive to think that if we helped all the time, if we where a true community of souls that whatever mental illness/rhetoric causes a person to do evil could be stopped? We are one, we are family. Time to act like it." - Intimacy Laison
